In Saturdays contest of the swing series the Colts fared better against the Georgian grizzlies winning the contest. The Colts had just traveled into Barrie from North Bay. The team was fresh off a loss from the Canadore Panthers. The team was determined to get back into the winning column and that they did.
The Colts jumped out in front 24-17 by the end of the 1st quarter and remained up 41-30 by the half. The Grizzlies put together a rally in the second half but it was not enough to overcome a 17-point deficit as the Colts put up another 23 points in the 4th to end the game and take the win 75-64 over Georgian.
Josh Mcfarlene put up big numbers with 23pts 10 rbs, big Marco Curic had 14pts, 2asts, 5 stls, and 2 blocks. Georgian lost the battle on the boards as Centennial was able to grab nearly 40% of the offensive boards and 80% of the defensive rebounds in the game.
The Colts now move into second place right behind cross town rivals the Seneca Sting. And as fate would have it they play Seneca at home on Friday Nov. 25th. If the Colts emerge victorious they will move into a tie with Seneca for 1st place in the OCAA East Division for Men's Basketball. This one is sure to be full of end-to-end court action.
